US President-elect Donald Trump announced on Tuesday his intention to establish an external revenue service to collect tariffs, duties, and all revenue generated from foreign sources as soon as he returns to the Oval Office. “We will begin charging those that make money off of us with Trade, and they will start paying, FINALLY, their fair share,” Trump wrote in the post on Truth Social, criticizing existing trade agreements, calling them “pathetically weak,” and arguing that the American economy has grown while the country has been burdened by its own taxes.
